PVR INOX Expands Its Empire in South India with Spectacular New Cinema Complex at Bengaluru’s Phoenix Mall of Asia

PVR INOX, India’s premier and largest cinema chain, unveiled its most extensive cinema complex in Bengaluru at the Phoenix Mall of Asia, marking its biggest venture in the South. This 14-screen Megaplex, nestled within one of Bengaluru’s most upscale malls, showcases three high-end formats: MX4D, ScreenX, and Insignia, bringing the first-ever MX4D immersive 4D cinema experience and ScreenX’s 270-degree viewing experience to South India. The launch strengthens PVR INOX’s dominance in Bengaluru, now boasting 172 screens across 26 venues, and in Karnataka, with 37 cinemas housing 219 screens. Overall, the company’s footprint in South India expands to 572 screens across 100 locations.

Situated in Bangalore’s outskirts, this cutting-edge 14-Screen Megaplex stands as the city’s premier cinema offering. It features the multi-sensory MX4D format, the expansive ScreenX, and three Insignia luxury auditoriums, in addition to nine premiere auditoriums equipped with celebrity plush recliners at the last row. With a total seating capacity of 1997, the cinema is outfitted with state-of-the-art technology, including 4K laser projection, Dolby Atmos advanced surround sound, and Volfoni 3D screens, ensuring an unparalleled and immersive cinematic experience.

The design seamlessly merges multiple tones of white, highlighted with a majestic touch of Royal blue, creating an opulent atmosphere. Key areas like entrances and F&B spaces are tastefully enhanced with black accents amid the whites, maintaining a subtle equilibrium. Striking video walls, signage, and ceiling details exude the grandeur reminiscent of a Megaplex. Transitioning from whites to greys, the Insignia exudes a refined and lavish ambiance. This timeless design ensures a perpetually refreshing allure, inviting customers into a cozy and welcoming setting.
